Equipment

  • Large pot
  • mixing bowl & baking dish

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cup elbow Macaroni
  • 4 cups Cheddar cheese
  • 2 cup Sour cream
  • 2 cup mayo
  • 4 cups Mozzarella cheese
  • Black Pepper and salt to taste

Instructions

  • Begin by bringing a large pot of salted water to a rapid boil over high heat. Once the water is bubbling vigorously, carefully add 1 and 1/2 cups of elbow macaroni and let it cook for approximately 7-8 minutes until it reaches al dente perfection.
  • While the macaroni is cooking, take a large mixing bowl and combine 4 cups of shredded cheddar cheese, 2 cups of tangy sour cream, and 2 cups of creamy mayonnaise. With a few quick stirs, the ingredients should blend together to create a rich and velvety cheese sauce.
  • Set your oven to 375°F (190°C). Then, take a baking dish that's 9x13 inches in size. Put half of the cooked macaroni evenly in the bottom of the dish. Next, pour half of the cheese sauce over the macaroni, making sure it covers everything. Repeat this process with another layer of macaroni and cheese sauce on top.
  • Sprinkle a generous amount of shredded mozzarella cheese, approximately 4 cups, over the mac and cheese. For added flavor, feel free to season with a sprinkle of salt and black pepper according to your taste preferences. Bake the dish for approximately 25 minutes, or until the cheese is perfectly melted and bubbling. Once ready, serve your piping hot Mike's Farm Mac and Cheese and indulge in every mouth-watering bite!

Notes

  • For a healthier version, you can use whole wheat or gluten-free pasta and replace the sour cream and mayonnaise with Greek yogurt.
  • You can also add cooked bacon, diced ham, or sautéed vegetables to the mac and cheese for added protein and flavor.
  • This dish pairs well with a side salad or some roasted vegetables for a complete meal.
