- 12 ounces Tillamook Shredded White Cheddar Cheese
- 4 ounces Philadelphia Cream Cheese
- 12 ounces of light-flavor beer
- 1 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 3/4 stick butter
- 1/3 teaspoon salt
In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
Add the flour and whisk until it’s completely combined with the butter.
Then add the beer, cream cheese, chili powder, and salt and whisk until everything is well combined.
Increase the heat to medium and keep stirring until the mixture thickens.
Remove from heat, add the shredded cheese, and whisk until the cheese is completely melted.
Serve warm with your favorite chips, crackers, or vegetables.
• Make sure to use a light-flavored beer so that it doesn’t overpower the cheese.
• If you don’t have cream cheese, you can substitute it with sour cream or Greek yogurt.
• For a spicier version, add an extra teaspoon of chili powder.
