- 3 ¼ cups Warm Water
- 4 tbsp Brown Sugar
- 1 lb. Boar’s Head Pepperoni
- 1 lb. Part-Skim Mozzarella Cheese
- 1 tbsp SAF Instant Yeast
- Cooking Spray
- 2 ½ lb. Unbleached All-Purpose Flour
- 4 tbsp Pompeian Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1 tbsp Salt
Roll Out the Dough
Spray a large baking sheet with cooking spray. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, olive oil, and salt. Pour this mixture into the yeast mixture and mix with your hands until all of the ingredients are fully incorporated. Knead for 10 minutes or until the dough is soft and pliable.
Assemble the Rolls
Divide the dough into 16 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a flat round shape, about 8 inches in diameter. Place a mound of pepperoni and cheese in the center of each round, then fold the edges up over the filling and pinch together to seal. Place each roll onto the prepared baking sheet and brush with olive oil.
- If you want a spicier flavor, try using hot pepperoni instead of regular.
- If you want to add more flavor, try adding some garlic powder or Italian seasoning to the mixture.
- For a healthier option, try using whole wheat flour instead of all-purpose flour.
- Serve with a side of marinara sauce for dipping!
