- 2 tsp vanilla
- ⅛ cup fruit wine
- ²/8 cups white rum
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 1 can condensed milk
- 2 cups whipping cream
Gather ingredients & measure.
Mix condensed milk, fruit wine, white rum, and vanilla extract in a large bowl.
Whip cream until soft peaks form; fold in mixture & raisins.
Pour into an airtight container; freeze for 8 hours.
Thaw for 10 minutes before serving.
- Make sure to use good-quality white rum. Lower quality rums can have an unpleasant aftertaste and they won’t give the ice cream the same flavor as a higher quality one.
- For best results, make sure the raisins are well incorporated into the mixture.
- Letting the ice cream thaw before serving helps to bring out all the flavors and gives it a smoother texture.
