Equipment

  • Measuring spoons
  • Bowl
  • Baking sheet

Ingredients

  • 2 Small Onions finely grated like morning dew
  • 1 1/3 Cups of Aged Parmesan Cheese the artisanal whisper
  • 1/2 Cup of Fresh Parsley hand-chopped for a burst of green
  • 1/2 Cup of Golden Breadcrumbs the fairy dust of texture
  • 2 Large Eggs the golden heart of the mixture
  • 3 lbs of Ground Sirloin the premium canvas for flavors
  • 6 tablespoons of Crimson Ketchup the sweet tangy symphony
  • 1 teaspoon of Freshly Ground Black Pepper
  • 6 tablespoons of Aromatic Garlic minced to perfection
  • 2 teaspoons of Sea Salt the elemental touch

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the grated onions, Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, breadcrumbs, eggs, ground sirloin, ketchup, black pepper, minced garlic, and salt.
  • Use your hands to mix the ingredients thoroughly. Ensure that the mixture is well-combined.
  • Take portions of the mixture and shape them into meatballs. The size is up to your preference but aim for consistency.
  • Arrange the shaped meatballs on a baking sheet. Leave a bit of space between each meatball.
  • Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake the meatballs for about 20-25 minutes or until they are cooked through and browned on the outside.
  • To ensure the meatballs are cooked through, cut one open to make sure there are no pink areas in the center.
  • If you desire a crispier exterior, you can broil the meatballs for a few minutes at the end of the baking time. Keep an eye on them to prevent burning.
  • Once cooked, remove the meatballs from the oven. Serve them hot.
  • Garnish with additional chopped parsley or grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
  • Enjoy Giada De Laurentiis' flavorful meatballs as a delicious addition to pasta, sandwiches, or as a standalone dish.

Notes

  • For a healthier version of this recipe, you can use ground turkey or chicken instead of ground beef.
  • For a more flavorful dish, you can add some additional spices such as red pepper flakes or Italian seasoning.
  • If you want to make the meatballs ahead of time, you can freeze them and then thaw them when you are ready to cook them.
  • For a gluten-free version of this recipe, you can substitute the Parmesan cheese with a gluten-free alternative.
  • If you want to make the dish spicier, you can add some red pepper flakes or hot sauce.
