Equipment

Ingredients

  • 1 to 1½ quarts sparkling mineral water or plain water
  • 1- quart yogurt whole milk
  • 1 tbsp dried rose petals ground
  • 2 tsp dried mint or ¼ cup fresh mint leaves
  • Ice
  • 1 English cucumber peeled and chopped or 3 Persian cucumbers
  • 1 tsp salt adjust per taste
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp dried celery or celery salt
  • 1 tsp of any other variety of mint

Instructions

  • Blend yogurt and mineral water (or plain water).
  • Add rose petals, mint leaves, and cucumbers to the blender and mix.
  • Add salt, basil, and celery to the mixture and blend.
  • Pour into glasses.

Notes

  • To make the doogh even more refreshing, you can add chopped apples or crushed ice to the mixture.
  • You can also use a ready-made yogurt drink instead of making your own.
  • If the doogh is too thick, you can thin it out with some additional water.
  • For an extra touch of flavor, you can add a pinch of cardamom or cinnamon to the mixture.
  • For extra sweetness, you can also add a tablespoon of honey or sugar to the drink.
