Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Chamoy
  • 1/2 cup Tajin Seasoning
  • Lime Juice from 1 lime or 1.5 tablespoons
  • 10 Pulparindo Candy
  • 1/2 Water

Instructions

  • Place the sugar, Chamoy, and Tajin in a bowl. Mix together well. Add the lime juice to the mixture and mix until combined.
  • Break up Pulparindo candy by hand (or use a food processor if you prefer). Add the broken-up Pulparindo candy and water to the bowl.
  • Mix until all ingredients are combined. The mixture should be thick and sticky, but not too runny. Place the mixture in a shallow dish or container, cover it with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least an hour before serving.
  • When ready to serve, remove the plastic wrap and use a spoon to spread the mixture around the edge of your desired serving dish or bowl. Serve immediately with chips, crackers, or other snacks of your choice.

Notes

• If you want to make it spicier, add more Tajin seasoning as desired.
• To keep the dip from getting too runny, make sure to refrigerate and let it set for at least an hour before serving.
• You can also use a 9” pie plate instead of a shallow dish or container.
