Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup of vegetable oil
  • 1 and 1/2 cups of sugar
  • 2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp of baking soda
  • 1 cup of buttermilk
  • 1 tsp of baking powder
  • 1/2 cup of butter
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 cup of chopped orange slices

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, cream together the eggs, oil, and sugar until light and fluffy. Then add in the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, and buttermilk; mixing until completely blended. Pour the batter into a greased 9x13-inch pan.
  • For the topping, combine butter with sugar in a separate bowl and mix until thoroughly combined. Spread the mixture in an even layer over the top of the cake batter.
  • Top with chopped orange slices, and bake at 350°F for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow to cool before serving.
