Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • Electric mixer
  • Oven
  • Round Cookie Cutter
  • Baking Sheet or Parchment Paper
  • Teaspoon and Tablespoon
  • Measuring cups
  • Wire Rack

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 pack cream cheese 8 ounce, room temperature
  • 1 egg only yolk
  • 1 tablespoon whole milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 and 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 can Solo Fruit filling any flavor
  • 1 Cup Butter normal temperature

Instructions

  • Get a medium bowl. Put the cream cheese, butter, milk, and sugar in it. Use an electric mixer until everything is mixed well. It should be smooth and creamy.
  • Add the egg yolk. Mix it in with everything else. This will make the mixture rich and yellow.
  • Take another bowl. Put the flour and baking powder in it. Mix them together. Now, put this into the creamy mixture. Mix until it turns into a firm dough.
  • Cover the bowl. Put it in the fridge for a few hours or overnight. This makes the dough tasty.
  • Heat the oven to 400°F. Take the dough out. Roll it on a floured surface until it's 1/4-inch thick.
  • Use a round cookie cutter to make circles from the dough. Put them on a baking sheet. Leave some space between each.
  • Press your thumb or a spoon in the middle of each cookie. Make a little dent.
  • Spoon some Solo Fruit filling into the dent. Use about a teaspoon for each cookie.
  • Bake in the oven for 10-12 minutes. Look for a light brown color.
  • Take the cookies out. Let them cool on a wire rack. Sprinkle confectioners' sugar on top just before you eat them. Enjoy your Solo Kolacky!

Notes

Cream cheese is the secret ingredient that adds a rich and tangy flavor to the dough, while the Solo Fruit filling infuses the pastries with a burst of fruity goodness. The buttery crust, made with a combination of butter and flour, creates a melt-in-your-mouth texture that is simply irresistible.
