Ingredients

  • 18 Jalapenos
  • ¾ tsp Salt Or To Taste
  • ¾ cup  Pastene Sunflower Oil
  • 2 Cloves Garlic
  • 2 tbsp Fresh Lime Juice

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350F and roast jalapenos for about 20 minutes until they start to blister.
  • Peel off the skin then de-seed and finely chop the jalapeños.
  • In a blender, combine chopped jalapeños, garlic cloves, and salt then blend until the ingredients become paste-like.
  • Add in the oil and continue blending until all of the ingredients are completely combined and smooth.
  • Finally, add lime juice and blend one last time to incorporate it into the sauce. Transfer your salsa verde to an airtight container and store it in the refrigerator for up to a week.

• If you prefer a spicier salsa, add more jalapeños or leave the seeds in
• Make sure that your blender is powerful enough to blend all of the ingredients together smoothly.
• You can also use fresh tomatillos for an extra tart flavor
