Making Homemade Wontons:
In a bowl, mix coarsely chopped pork, coarsely chopped shrimp, light brown sugar, rice wine or dry sherry, soy sauce, green onions, and fresh ginger. Allow the mixture to sit for 25-30 minutes for the flavors to blend.
Place 1 teaspoon of the filling in the center of each wonton wrapper.
Wet the edges of each wonton with a little water and press them together with your fingers to seal. Then, fold each wonton over.
To cook the wontons, add them to the boiling chicken stock and cook for 4-5 minutes.
Transfer the soup with wontons to individual bowls.
Serve the delicious homemade Wonton Soup hot, allowing everyone to enjoy the flavorful broth and delicate wontons.
