Ingredients

  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 1/2 lbs. pork chop
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup white wine vinegar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup molasses

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Season your pork chops generously with salt and pepper on both sides, then set aside.
  • Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until it begins to shimmer, then add the garlic powder, onion powder, and dried thyme. Stir together and cook for 1 minute.
  • Add the pork chops to the skillet and brown on both sides, about 4 minutes per side. Pour in the chicken broth, white wine vinegar, brown sugar, butter, and molasses, and stir everything together with a wooden spoon to combine.
  • Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, until the pork chops are cooked through. Remove from heat and let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
