Notes

  • Use fresh spices. Spices lose flavor over time, so make sure to use the freshest ones available for maximum flavor.
  • Make sure you mix all the ingredients together in a bowl before rubbing on the steak. This will ensure that all of the flavors are evenly distributed throughout your steaks.
  • Letting your steaks sit for 15-20 minutes before cooking will ensure that the flavor soaks into the meat.
  • If you don't have all of the ingredients in your pantry, feel free to substitute with similar spices. You can also add a pinch of sugar to give your steaks a slightly sweet, caramelized flavor.
  • To make a spicier version of the seasoning, add a bit more cayenne pepper.
  • This steak seasoning mix is also great for marinades and rubs for other types of meat such as pork or chicken.
