Ingredients

  • 1 Tablespoon minced garlic
  • 4 Tablespoon salted butter
  • 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 heads of broccoli, washed and chopped
  • 2 cups of water
  • Salt & Pepper

Instructions

  • Begin by prepping your ingredients: mince the garlic, grate the Parmesan cheese, and wash & chop the broccoli.
  • Heat a large skillet to medium-high heat and add butter to melt. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
  • Add broccoli and water to the skillet. Cover the skillet with a lid, reduce heat to low, and cook for 6-8 minutes or until broccoli is tender.
  • Uncover the skillet and season with salt & pepper as desired. Add Parmesan cheese and stir until it’s melted into the sauce. Serve.

Notes

  • For an even more flavorful dish, you can add a tablespoon of freshly squeezed lemon juice or 1/2 teaspoon of red pepper flakes to the skillet when adding the Parmesan cheese.
  • You can also substitute regular butter with vegan butter if you prefer a dairy-free dish.
  • Also, you can adjust the salt & pepper to your own personal taste.
