Equipment

  • Large bowl
  • roasting pan

Ingredients

  • 4 lb Kirkland pork sirloin tip roast
  • 1/2 cup Organic Soy Sauce
  • 2 tsp of Himalayan salt
  • 1 tsp of garlic powder
  • 6-8 Bay leaves
  • 1 tsp of black pepper
  • 1 tsp of dried thyme
  • 1 Small onion in a half
  • 1/2 cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 15 cups water or more
  • 2 tsp Kosher salt

Instructions

  • Prep and Marinate the Pork Sirloin Tip Roast- In a large bowl, combine the organic soy sauce, Himalayan salt, garlic powder, bay leaves, black pepper, dried thyme, and onion. Gradually whisk in the extra virgin olive oil to create an emulsion. Place the Kirkland pork sirloin tip roast in a large resealable plastic bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over it. Gently massage the marinade into the meat, ensuring it is fully coated. Seal the bag or cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 6 hours or overnight to ensure maximum flavor absorption.
  • Prep for Cooking- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Remove the pork sirloin tip roast from the marinade and place it in a roasting pan, discarding any excess marinade. Sprinkle Kosher salt over all sides of the roast to create a delectable crust. Pour water into the pan until it reaches about 1 inch (2.5 cm) up the sides of the roast.
  • Cook to Perfection- Cover the roasting pan with aluminum foil and place it in the preheated oven. After approximately 45 minutes, remove the foil and continue cooking for an additional 15 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches at least 145°F (63°C).
  • Let it Rest and Serve- Allow the pork sirloin tip roast to rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving. This will help the juices redistribute, resulting in tender and juicy slices of meat. Carve against the grain into thin slices and serve with your preferred sides.

Notes

  • Make sure to let the roast marinate for at least 6 hours or overnight to ensure maximum flavor.
  • Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature of the roast. Overcooking can make it dry and tough.
  • Letting the pork sirloin tip roast rest before slicing allows the juices to redistribute, resulting in a more tender and flavorful meat.
  • For an extra kick of flavor, add some fresh herbs such as rosemary or thyme to the marinade.
