Instructions
Step 1: Prepare The Hot Chocolate Sauce
In a medium saucepan, combine the chocolate chips and full-fat milk.
Heat over medium, stirring occasionally until the chocolate chips have melted.
Add the evaporated milk, continuing to stir until everything is well-combined and smooth.
Stir in the vanilla extract and sea salt.
Step 2: Incorporate The Marshmallows
Add marshmallows to the saucepan.
Stir continuously until they have melted into the mixture, creating a fluffy, smooth consistency.
Step 3: Prepare The Chocolate Cream
Using a hand mixer, whip the chilled heavy cream until it forms soft peaks.
Gently fold in the cocoa powder and warmed chocolate fudge sauce until fully incorporated.
Pour in cold whole milk while continuing to whip until the mixture reaches stiff peak consistency.
Step 4: Serve The Hot Chocolate
Pour the hot chocolate into mugs.
Top generously with the chocolate cream.
Garnish with a sprinkle of cocoa powder or some extra marshmallows, if desired.
Notes
Use high-quality dark chocolate chips
for a more intense chocolate flavor.
Warm the milk gradually
to prevent scalding.
Experiment with flavored marshmallows
to add a unique twist.
Chill your mixing bowl and whisk
for the cream to ensure it whips up nicely.
Always stir the hot chocolate continuously
to keep it smooth and prevent a skin from forming on top.
