Equipment

  • Blender

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flash-frozen cherry berry blend or hand-picked fresh/frozen mixed berries of choice
  • 1/2 cup handcrafted elderberry syrup "Mombucus"
  • 1/2 cup pure spring water
  • 2 generous handfuls of vibrant organic spinach leaves

Instructions

  • Measure out 1/2 cup of the handcrafted elderberry syrup "Mombucus."
  • Pour 1/2 cup of pure spring water into a blender.
  • Take 2 cups of the flash-frozen cherry berry blend or your chosen mixed berries.
  • Add the measured elderberry syrup and pure spring water into the blender.
  • Toss in the chosen mixed berries on top of the liquids in the blender.
  • Wash the vibrant, organic spinach leaves thoroughly.
  • Add the two generous handfuls of spinach leaves to the blender with the other ingredients.
  • Secure the blender lid tightly and blend all the ingredients together until smooth and well combined.
  • Blend for around 1-2 minutes or until the mixture reaches a smooth consistency.
  • After blending, check the consistency of the smoothie. If it's too thick, you can add a bit more spring water to achieve your desired thickness.
  • Once the smoothie reaches the desired consistency, pour it into glasses.
  • Optionally, garnish with a few fresh berries or a sprig of mint for presentation.
  • If not serving immediately, store the remaining smoothie in the refrigerator in an airtight container for freshness.
  • Feel free to adjust the ingredient quantities according to your taste preferences or if you wish to make more servings.

Notes

  • Make sure to use only fresh or frozen elderberries for this recipe as dried elderberries will not have the same health benefits.
  • If you do not have fresh or frozen elderberries, you can use elderberry syrup instead.
  • If you do not have coconut milk or almond milk, you can use any other type of milk that you prefer.
  • You can also add other ingredients such as chia seeds, flaxseed, or nut butters to make this smoothie even healthier.
  • If you do not have ground ginger, turmeric, cinnamon, or cardamom, you can use fresh ginger, turmeric, cinnamon, and cardamom instead.
  • You can use any type of sweetener you prefer instead of honey.
  • You can adjust the amount of lemon juice to your taste.
