Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 15-ounce can of tomato sauce
  • 1/2 lb ground pork
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 lb ground beef

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, combine the chopped onions, salt, ground pork, black pepper, and chopped parsley. Mix the ingredients together until evenly blended.
  • Form small balls out of the mixture (around 1-1½ inches in diameter). Place them on an oiled baking sheet.
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F and bake for 20 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F. Take out of the oven and serve hot!
  • In a medium saucepan, simmer together the tomato sauce and garlic on medium heat for 10 minutes.
  • Add the meatballs to the tomato sauce mixture and stir gently, coating the meatballs in the sauce. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

  • For added flavor, consider adding herbs such as oregano or basil to the tomato sauce.
  • Use a thermometer to check the internal temperature of the meatballs and ensure they are cooked through before serving.
  • If you prefer your meatballs a bit spicier, add some red pepper flakes to the mixture before forming them into balls.
  • Feel free to double the recipe and freeze the extra meatballs for later use. They can be frozen in a sealed container for up to three months!
