Equipment

  • Saucepan
  • cups

Ingredients

  • 3 grams of Cuban oregano leaves
  • Honey sugar, or stevia
  • 1 1/2 cup boiling water

Instructions

  • Firstly, ensure that you have 3 grams of fresh Cuban oregano leaves at your disposal. Give the leaves a thorough rinse under cold water to remove any impurities or dirt.
  • In a saucepan, bring 1 1/2 cups of water to a rolling boil over high heat.
  • Once the water is boiling, add the Cuban oregano leaves to the saucepan. Allow them to simmer in the water for approximately 5 minutes.
  • After simmering, delicately strain the tea into a mug or teapot using a fine-mesh strainer.
  • Sweeten your Cuban oregano tea to your liking with the sweetener of your choice. Honey, sugar, or stevia are all excellent options.

Notes

  • For a stronger flavor, you can use more oregano leaves or let the tea simmer for a longer period.
  • If using dried oregano leaves, reduce the amount to 1 gram as they have a more concentrated taste.
  • You can also add other herbs or spices such as ginger or cinnamon for added flavor and health benefits.
  • Serve hot or chilled over ice for a refreshing summer drink.
