Equipment

  • Saucepan

Ingredients

  • 3 pcs Jalapeño Peppers
  • 2 pcs Serrano Peppers
  • 1 pc Orange Bell Pepper
  • 4 cloves minced garlic
  • Chicken Stock
  • 1/2 red bell pepper
  • Cilantro finely chopped
  • 1 can green chili peppers 4 ounces (Chopped)
  • 1 lb American Cheese
  • 1 can tomatillos crushed
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup

Instructions

  • Start by removing the stems, seeds and veins from the jalapeño and serrano peppers and mince them up. In a medium-sized saucepan over medium heat add the minced peppers, garlic, bell peppers, chicken stock and cilantro.
  • Bring to a simmer for 15 minutes or until most of the liquid has cooked down. Add in the chopped green chili peppers, tomatillos, American cheese and cream of chicken soup and stir until all ingredients are mixed together.
  • Reduce heat to low and simmer for another 15 minutes or until sauce thickens up. If you want a spicier sauce you can stir in the hot chopped green chili peppers. Remove from heat and serve with your favorite dish!

Notes

  • Add more or less of the peppers depending on how spicy you like it.
  • If you don’t have chicken stock, water will work just fine as a substitute.
  • You can also add a tablespoon of olive oil to the sauce, which will give it a nice flavor.
  • If you don’t have any jalapeño or serrano peppers on hand, you can use 2 tablespoons of chili powder instead.
