Instructions
In a large pot or Dutch oven over medium-high heat, brown the premium ground beef. Break it into crumbles as it cooks, ensuring it's thoroughly cooked and browned.
Add the finely chopped sweet onion and minced garlic to the browned beef. Sauté until the onion becomes translucent and the garlic is aromatic.
Sprinkle the carefully curated chili powder, cumin, freshly ground black pepper, and salt over the beef mixture. Stir well to evenly coat the meat with the spices.
Add the drained and rinsed kidney beans, pinto beans, and black beans to the pot.
Pour in the diced tomatoes and high-quality tomato sauce. Stir the ingredients together.
Bring the chili to a gentle boil, then reduce the heat to low. Cover the pot and let it simmer for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
Taste the chili and adjust the seasonings if needed. You can add more chili powder, salt, or pepper according to your preference.
Once the chili has reached your desired flavor profile, it's ready to be served. Ladle it into bowls and consider topping it with shredded cheese, sour cream, or chopped green onions if desired.
