Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup strawberries diced
  • 2 tablespoons pecans chopped
  • 2 tablespoons condensed milk
  • 2 tablespoons Mexican cream or sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons raisins
  • 1/2 cup cantaloupe diced
  • 1/2 cup papaya diced
  • 2 tablespoons plain yogurt
  • 1/2 cup pineapple diced
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 tablespoons sweetened shredded coconut
  • 2 tablespoons plain granola
  • Honey to taste, as needed

Instructions

  • Wash and dice the strawberries, cantaloupe, papaya, and pineapple.
  • Chop the pecans into small pieces.
  • Measure and set aside 2 tablespoons of chopped pecans.
  • Measure and set aside 2 tablespoons of raisins.
  • In a bowl, mix together plain yogurt and condensed milk.
  • Add vanilla to the yogurt mixture and stir well.
  • In serving bowls or glasses, start layering the diced fruits. You can be creative with the order.
  • Sprinkle chopped pecans and raisins over the fruit layers.
  • Spoon the prepared yogurt mixture over the layered fruits and nuts.
  • Sprinkle plain granola over the yogurt layer.
  • Finish by adding sweetened shredded coconut on top.
  • If desired, drizzle honey over the Bionicos to add sweetness according to your taste.
  • Spoon Mexican cream or sour cream over the top for a creamy finish.
  • Bionicos are best enjoyed fresh, so serve immediately and savor the delicious combination of fruits, nuts, and creamy goodness.

Notes

  • If the bananas are not ripe enough, add a tablespoon of honey to the mashed bananas to sweeten them.
  • For an extra kick, add a pinch of cinnamon to the mixture.
  • If you don’t have fresh fruit on hand, you can use frozen fruit as a substitute. Just make sure to thaw it before adding it to the mixture.
  • If you don’t have sweetened condensed milk, you can substitute it with evaporated milk.
  • If you don’t have coconut flakes, you can substitute it with shredded coconut.
  • If you don’t have marshmallows, you can substitute them with mini marshmallows.
