This key lime pie recipe is as easy as it gets. With a few simple steps, you can make an authentic clone of the famous Costco key lime pie right in your own kitchen!
In a large bowl, mix together graham cracker crumbs and melted butter until fully combined. Then press this mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch pie dish. Pop it in your preheated oven at 350°F for approximately 10 minutes.
To make the filling, vigorously whisk together sweetened condensed milk, key lime juice, grated lime zest, and granulated sugar until all ingredients are blended.
When the crust has cooled down, pour the liquid mixture into it and spread evenly over the surface.
Bake for 25 minutes at 350°F until the top starts to turn golden brown.
Allow to rest for several hours, preferably overnight.
Right before serving, top with a generous layer of sour cream and garnish with key lime wedges.
Notes
It is important to use freshly squeezed key lime juice for this recipe in order to get the best flavor.
If you find the pie is too tart, add more condensed milk or sugar until it reaches your desired sweetness.
You can also top the pie with whipped cream instead of sour cream if you prefer.
